My journey as an artist began at a very young age growing up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. My mother taught me to draw birds with stick feet. I enjoyed drawing so much that a few years later, and with lots of practice, I was able to make the stick feet look real! After high school, I headed to nearby Maryville College to study fine art. I then attended Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville studying commercial graphic design.
Designs by Pinkie was born in 2005 along with my son Nathan. After working full-time for years for local marketing firms, I decided to stay at home with my son and start a career as a freelance graphic artist.
My business has grown and changed tremendously throughout the years from graphic design services to commissioned art, book illustrations and mural projects. Going on 16 years in business and 24 years of experience, I’m passionate about creating new designs every day whether it be digital or fine art. I’m thankful to be able to use my talents and experience to help others grow their own businesses.
"Working with Pinkie has been one of the best things we could have ever done for branding our wineries/distillery! She not only takes our direction well when we are looking for something specific but has also brought new, innovative ideas to the table
when we really needed them.

"Her ability to grasp an abstract concept and put it into imagery is uncanny, and she is a pleasure to work with. In the process, I have been fortunate enough to call Pinkie a friend, and learn that she has fine art talent that may surpass her graphic work. She created an oil painting for me, based on my general concept, that is now the focal point of my home and elicits gasps from all who enter. She has vision, talent, ability, and a sparkling personality."
Olwen Claiborne - Marketing Director, Smoky Mountain Outdoors
"Pinkie Mistry is one of the most amazing artists that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Her talent in the areas of digital graphics, layout and design, mural painting, and fine art have no equal comparisons. She is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about her projects. She is very focused on the finished work product and the client’s needs and timeframe. She has completed designs for signage, posters, murals, book illustrations, website design, menu design and numerous other projects for Anakeesta. She is a joy to work with and gives back to the community at every opportunity."
